This week we rap with former urban lumberjack, Darwin Crawford (@darwin_crawford) shares a harrowing tale of living life in survival mode as the downfall of the recession imploded his once thriving commercial lumber business.

From the sticks of Mississippi, Darwin threw all his chips in a handful of entrepreneurial endeavors in the concrete jungle of Atlanta before family brought him to Arizona. It was through the remodel of his mom’s short sale, that Darwin found an opportunity that would provide him a fresh start. However, this time on his own terms. Your resilience is a characteristic that is in his DNA. In a past life, that resilience has worked against him, staying in business and relationships far too long in hopes that they would turn out ok. After he dabbled in a few lackluster ventures, Darwin found his niche and went all in. He has become a master of negotiation and prospecting, not the best deal, but the right deal.

His mission now is to expose the truth of his industry and help those trying to figure it out to streamline their path through the lessons he’s learned. This initiative spawned his podcast, “Beers & Stories: No BS Real Estate Investing”. Upon this platform, Darwin hand picks his guests to give the real and raw of living made on, as he puts it “sticks, bricks, pipes, & wires!”

Thank you for joining us on this week’s episode of Feed Me Fuel Me (@feedmefuelme). It is our sincerest hope that there is something in Darwin’s self-exploration that resonates with you and helps to empower your journey!
